Colour Confidence – How to choose colour

Test pots allow you to try different shades of the same colours. how they will look in your chosen room and how the colours interacts with your rooms lighting.

PROUD TIP: Paint your tester pots onto A4 sheets of paper and remember to give two coats of paint before seeing the end colour results. Place them on different walls in your chosen room and see how they look with the different lighting effects.

A colour in store may look different than in your home due to different lighting and undercoated colours.

When choosing your paint colour, consider if you’d like to make the space look a little more spacious, or maybe more cozy?

Light grey’s, blues, off-whites with under tones or blue, green and grey, will make your room look bigger and brighter, this works particularly well, in North facing rooms.

To make your room look cozy and warmer, choosing reds, dark greens, yellows, purples will create a warmer feeling for relaxation, deeper colours work very well in South facing rooms, giving you the right ambience and balance of colour and light.
