Protecting your room before painting

1. Removing light furniture and ornaments from the room and store safely out of the was
2. Moving large furniture to the center of the room and covering with protective equipment such as dust sheets and clear plastic covers.
3. Covering flooring with dust sheets/ clear plastic covers also, dust sheets also for a non-slip surface when using ladders etc.
4. If you have carpet flooring make sure to use at least a 5cm wide masking tape on the edges of the skirting board and making sure to use a sharp tool to push the masking tape under the skirtings, this will ensure any drips or spills will not ruin your carpet.
5. Using masking tape on doors, hinges and handles that are not easily removed.
